DR Ltd Architects
WORKING IN COLLABORATION, WE PRODUCED WIREFRAMES FROM THEIR INITIAL DESIGN MOCKUPS TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THE USER EXPERIENCE (UX) AND REALISE THEIR AESTHETIC THROUGHOUT THE SITE. THEY WERE KEEN TO MAINTAIN A MINIMAL APPROACH TO THE DESIGN TO REALLY HELP SHOW-OFF THE WORK THEY PRODUCE. WE DEVELOPED A BESPOKE PROJECT GALLERY PAGE WITH UNIQUE SORT FUNCTION AND PROJECT TAGGING THAT CAN BE INTEGRATED IN TO THEIR BLOG. PAYING CAREFUL ATTENTION TO COMPONENTS SUCH AS THE MOBILE NAVIGATION AND THE PROJECT PAGE WE SPENT TIME HERE DEVELOPING THE UX TO ENSURE THE USER GETS THE BEST OF WHAT DR LTD HAVE TO OFFER.
It was such a pleasure to work with the guys at Ardour. They helped us to discover what it was that we really wanted without pushing us in any one direction.
Custom Search Function
We designed and development a custom search function that enabled each project to be searched and filtered dependant upon the project category. It was important that potential new clients were able to filter through project categories to see the scale and type of projects DR Ltd and worked on in the past. We also developed custom project pages to enable DR Ltd to be able to upload new projects as and when they were completed. From the outset of the project we got to know the client and understand how this site would grow and develop as they do as a prestigious RIBA registered practice.
Wireframing
The importance of the wireframing stage is often overlooked. With this project we knew that the user journey was critical to get right, therefore a careful understanding of site architecture and navigation was achieved through wireframing prior to any design or development commencing.
Close Working Relationship
We worked closely with DR Ltd’s architects and in-house design team, having regular design and catch-up meetings to enable a beautiful end result.
Focus On Content
Working with DR Ltd’s design team, we were able to ensure that the visual content was of the highest quality. We knew the quality of their work was outstanding, and having a site that displays this in the most prominent way was going to be the most effective in getting across their message.
Ardour worked closely with the architect’s at DR Ltd to develop a clean and crisp looking site, which loads quickly.
